Dry skin can be caused by underactive oil glands, undernutrition, exposure to harsh sun or cold without protectants, as a side effect to medication, and as a side effect of prescription acne treatments. Skin is fragile and signs of aging are more prominent compared to other skin types.

- Skin might feel tight.
- No obvious oils sitting on top of the skin.
- Visible lines are eyes, mouth or forehead.
- Skin looks dull.
- Skin cracks easily.
- Skin look flaky.
Care[]
- Consider drinking more water.
- Consider moisturizing cleansing products and masks.
- Consider heavier moisturizers and sleep masks.
- Consider moisturizing products or liquid foundation products. BB creams and tinted moisturizers offer more hydration than classic foundation.
- Hydrating primers might be beneficial.
